Misty Barker, CNP

Misty Barker, CNP (Certified Nurse Practitioner), grew up in the Mansfield area. She studied at MedCentral College of Nursing, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honors. Misty then came to Columbus to receive her Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Mount Carmel College of Nursing.

Misty is one of Ohio’s first Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who specializes in Allergy/Immunology, which is quite an accomplishment. She is licensed by the State of Ohio and is nationally board certified. In addition, she has trained extensively under Dr. Summit Shah, Central Ohio’s leader in Rush Immunotherapy and Dr. Gital Patel in the field of allergy, asthma and immunology. Misty has been an active member in the Columbus medical community for more than a decade, and she is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and the American Nurses Association.

Misty is a dedicated Buckeye fan that spends her time tailgating with family and friends and tending to her cat Boston. Misty also enjoys biking and traveling.
